'Aquaman' Stars Jason Momoa And Amber Heard Train For Film

With production set to begin in a few months, the stars of the upcoming DC film, Aquaman, have begun their training for their respective roles.

Jason Momoa, who will play the title role in Arthur Curry, and Amber Heard, who will act opposite Momoa as Mera, Curry's confidant, have both begun training for the James Wan-directed feature. Both are training at the 87Eleven studio, which is a stunt company founded by David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, the studio has also helped stunt preparation for films like John Wick, The Wolverine, TRON: Legacy, and a more.

Posting to their respective Instagram accounts, 87Eleven and Heard, both shared footage of them preparing for the DC film. Momoa at the end of his video pointing to Rebirth comics for his character and Heard playfully pulling jabs at the camera.

Aquaman is written by Wan, Geoff Johns, and Will Beall, it will star Momoa as Arthur Curry, Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Nicole Kidman tentatively playing Atlanna, Yahya Abdul-Mantee II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry with Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko. Aquaman releases October 5, 2018.
