Jason Momoa Training Martial Arts And Sword Wielding For 'Aquaman'

Jason Momoa is prepping to play the half-human half-Atlantean superhero, and he is definitely putting in the effort.

Momoa, has been seen recently training at the 87Eleven studio, where many other actions star train for their films, but not just for martial arts of some kind but also how to execute sword dynamics. Posting to Instagram, Momoa shared a photo of him and his training crew, who put up other pictures of themselves with the actor training, on Tuesday.

Momoa is expected to begin filming some time in spring at the Village Roadshow Studios in Queensland, Australia and a small beat in Sicily, Italy.

Aquaman will be directed by James Wan, is written by Wan, Geoff Johns, and Will Beall, and it will star Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Nicole Kidman tentatively playing Atlanna, Yahya Abdul-Mantee II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry with Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko. Aquaman releases October 5, 2018.
