Another setback has emerged revolving around the future instalment for this new iteration of the Gotham Caped Crusader, as Matt Reeves has exited from talks to direct a solo Batman film.
Reports from Variety and The Hollywood Report have come in, that tell that negotiations between Reeves and Warner Bros/DC Films have broken down. The reports also claim that the talks could, somewhere down the line, pick back up again.
Recently Ben Affleck was set to direct the first solo Batman film that takes place in the DC Films' Universe, but due to unknown circumstances dropped out from helming the project. Affleck and DC Films co-head, Geoff Johns, co-wrote a script together, which is expected to get some form of rewrites in the future.
No comment was made by Warner Bros. or Matt Reeves' associates.
