The esteemed actor, writer, producer, and director is understandably annoyed by the amount of questions he is getting for The Batman. Affleck, who signed on to play the Caped Crusader back in 2013, will indeed be directing a solo film revolving around the vigilante but wishes that he wouldn't get asked constantly about that film.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight Canada, Affleck vented his natural response to getting those questions.
“Oh my God, it’s such a pain in the ass,” said Affleck. “It’s, like, every time I mention Batman it gets this huge click bait. And when I was doing this movie [Live by Night], it took me two years to get it together, but no one ever asked me “Where is ‘Live by Night’.”
He continued with: “They ask me, ‘Batman, Batman, Batman.’ ‘Batman’ is coming along. It’s going to be great. We’re going to make something really special. We’re going to take the time to make it right. We’re going to do it good. We’re going to do it the right way and the fans are going to love it.”
The Batman is written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns, directed by Ben Affleck, and stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Batman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, JK Simmons, who plays Commissioner Gordon, and Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke.
