'Logan' Gets R-Rating; New Info From Filmmakers And Stills Released

We will indeed get a bloody berserker version of Wolverine in live action form it would appear as the upcoming X-Man's film, Logan, has received its R rating.

James Mangold, the film's director, shared the information regarding the rating on his Twitter, saying that the film received this rating due to “strong brutal violence and language throughout, and for brief nudity.” This makes it more apparent that as the last hurrah for Hugh Jackman as the Canadian mutant, we will see the full force savage nature from the clawed man.

Not only have we gotten confirmation about the film's rating we have also been given new stills from the film thanks to Empire Magazine, along with some comments made by Mangold and Jackman.

“It’s a darker version of Little Miss Sunshine, with the three of us on the road,” said Jackman. “Slightly more violence!”

“The idea of a road picture with Logan, Laura and Xavier in an average car was a driving image for me,” said Mangold. “Taking heroes and putting them in normalcy — and nothing makes them more normal than to cram them into a car and make them have to deal with each other — that seemed the ultimate contradiction of what tentpole movies tend to do.”

Newcomer of the film will be Dafne Keen, who plays Laura(X-23) - the small girl with dangerous claws for weapons, but the seasoned Jackman recalls a more intense moment while making the film playing opposite Dafne, as Logan is not too happy with Laura. “I just yelled, ‘SHUT THE FUCK UP!’” Jackman explained. “At the end of 40 minutes of this I went up to Maria, Dafne’s mum, and I said, ‘Maria, I’ve got an 11-year-old and I’m just really sorry.’ Maria said, ‘Aw, don’t worry, she just called you a cunt. In Spanish.’”
