'Justice League' To Feature Queen Hippolyta And Lex Luthor

Zack Snyder's Justice League will see the DC superhero team be brought to live for the big screen for the first time. But with bringing in the members of the League together, comes bringing in some characters that have a deep connection with those members.

Thanks to recently released press kit Warner Brothers sent out for their 2017 films, we now know that Connie Nielsen will reprise her Wonder Woman role of Queen Hippolyta and Jesse Eisenberg will play his Batman v Superman role of Lex Luthor again. Nielsen's character having a connection to Diana Prince, Wonder Woman, and Jesse's Luthor connecting to both Clark Kent, Superman, and Bruce Wayne, Batman.

In the press kit the cast went as follows:
Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Connie Nielson as Queen Hippolyta, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

A few omissions to the cast list are Amber Heard as Mera, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf, and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, but that does not mean that they won't appear in the film, Hinds being the definite one appearing in it as he is playing the villain, which proves the point that the others are likely to be in it. The above cast list is not the definitive list and more than likely a guideline of sorts.
Also in the press kit, the writers and producers of the film were also revealed those being Zack Snyder and Chris Terrio for writing the story with Terrio also on the screenplay; the producing list being Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Jon Berg, Geoff Johns as producers and Jim Rowe, Wesley Coller, Curt Kanemoto, Chris Terrio, Ben Affleck as executive producers.

Fuelled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theatres November 17, 2017.
