One of the things that is in development over at DC Films is a Dwayne Johnson-starring film, Black Adam, which will tell the story of the DC Comics character of the same name.
Johnson on his own YouTube channel had a February fan question and answers, one question was, "You referred to Black Adam as a hero, but he's a villain. What does that mean for the movie?" Johnson replied with it being a question about how we perceive what is a hero and villain. Ending with, "The movie is going to be fantastic and it means it's going to be badass. And it means, to me, he is a hero."
The Black Adam film will be produced by Johnson and one of his producing partners, Hiram Garcia, with Johnson then following up his first Black Adam appearance in a Shazam spin-off film. Both will be made in conjunction with DC Films and New Line Cinema.
