The Television Critics Association event is currently taking place, and now the television studio, The CW, has announced the renewals for the 2017/2018 season.
Renewed for its thirteenth season, veteran show, Supernatural, will not be stopping from airing new episodes. Other renewed shows include Arrow for a sixth season, Supergirl will continue on from its current second season, DC's Legends of Tomorrow similarly will plough on ahead for a third season, and The Flash will get a fourth season.
Also picked up for another season are Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 3) and Jane the Virgin (Season 4).
“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas,” said the CW president Mark Pedowitz. “Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”
Shows like iZombie, The 100 and The Originals and newcomer Riverdale will be made renewed, if they are getting renewed, in May.
