Ewen Bremner Teases World War One Role For 'Wonder Woman'

With a few months to go until it is released to the world, there is still quite a lot of information that has not been shared about DC Films' Wonder Woman, which will take place in one of the darkest times in human history, World War One.

One piece of information is who is Ewen Bremer playing in the film. Some might have seen him in the latest trailer showing off a more than flabbergasted grimace. But now, while he "can't say very much" about his part in the superheroine film, Bremner has teased some things.

"I play a character who's enlisted by Wonder Woman to help save the world as part of a small, unlikely band," Bremner explained. "He's a shell-shocked soldier who's been discharged from the war and is brought back to help on a secret mission."

Recently there has been whispers that Ares, god of war, will show up in the film and be the main protagonist, so it is possible Bremner's character helps Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman defeat the anger-filled god.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg.

Wonder Woman
is slated for release on June 2, 2017.
