Daisy Johnson Becoming Director In 'Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.' A Possibility

Daisy Johnson is a character we first saw in the very first episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and since then we have seen her not only evolve literally, becoming an Inhuman, but we have also seen her evolve into a strong character, though with some personal demons.

Recently on an episode of the series, it was noted that she was in line to become director of S.H.I.E.L.D. had things gone a different route other than her becoming distant and, for a lack of a better phrase, take up a more vigilante role.

But now with the character on the route of working with the agency she could still become director. “We’ve hinted at it a bit, that Coulson thinks she can play more of a leadership role,” said the one of the show's executive producers, Jed Whedon. “We’ll see how it goes, and where the story takes her. She’s been through a lot so that usually turns someone from a rookie into a seasoned veteran, which is what you need to lead. We’ll see if she steps up to the plate.”

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with new episodes on Tuesday, January 10 at 10/9c on ABC.

On the heels of their encounter with Ghost Rider, their strangest phenomenon yet, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. suddenly find themselves up against a myriad of new and ongoing threats: The anti-Inhuman Watchdogs are gaining political influence with Senator Nadeer, and uniting behind a mysterious benefactor. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the team, Aida has kidnapped Agent May and replaced her with a Life Model Decoy. Aida’s evil plans for May and the team remain a mystery.
